LG kicks off Sydney Good Food and Wine Show

By Grant Shepherd

SYDNEY: The Good Food and Wine Show officially kicked off in Sydney this morning with LG as the major sponsors. Controversial Chef Gordon Ramsay is the headline act as well as many local culinary TV hotshots.

LG Electronics hosted a media briefing this morning to officially open this year’s expo, and Gordon Ramsay gave a short and very tame speech to welcome everyone along.

Ramsay then went on to perform at the LG Celebrity Theatre in the first of his twelve ‘Gordon Ramsay Live’ shows over the weekend. But after his controversial Melbourne appearances, it seemed Ramsay was on a tight leash with what he could say and how to act.

LG are the proud sponsors of the event and due to this it also have a large display for consumers to see the complete LG kitchen range.

Stan Bilinski, senior category marketing manager, LG Electronics, commented on the sponsorship.

“The high profile Good Food and Wine Show provides a great platform for LG to position itself as a major player in the cooking category,” he said.

“We have made a significant investment in our cooking category this year and are excited to be showcasing our new range at such a popular event. Consumers have come to expect a high level of style, sophistication and technology from LG and we are pleased to be able to able to offer this high standard yet again with our range of kitchen and cooking products.”
