VS Sassoon You Curl voted best of the best in styling

By Grant Shepherd

SYDNEY: The VS Sassoon You Curl has been acknowledged by 16 of the country’s top beauty experts in the magazine business, as their favourite styling tool. The company beat out tough competition to reach the top spot.

The You Curl will be acknowledged in the August issue of Madison, Cosmopolitan, The Australian Women’s Weekly and Harper’s BAZAAR, as a part of the top 100 products that editors and readers have selected from the ACP Australian Beauty Awards.

Some influential fashion media judges like Deborah Thomas, editorial director of The Australian Women’s Weekly and Stephanie Darling, beauty and living director at Madison, were very impressed with the product from VS Sassoon.

The comments attributed from them about the product were very positive, “This gives the same ribbon-effect wave you get when curling with a straightener - but this clever toll offers a technique that’s about 100 times easier”.

Peter Brewer, marketing manager of VS Sassoon, was very excited about the positive recognition.

“The You Curl is fast becoming an iconic styling tool. Once in a while you get to launch something very unique that changes the category and consumer behaviour. We have done that with the You Curl, which is very exciting,” he said.

“At the core of all our activities and product development is the desire to join with our consumers in a real and positive way. We help them maximize the way they look and feel by identifying key trends and delivering the tools that enable them to translate those key trends. We are part of an evolution in hair styling and hair fashion that is modern and accessible and forward looking, a new chapter in an ongoing dialogue that started with Vidal Sassoon himself.”
