Whitegoods – Account Management & Marketing Opportunities


Samsung  are one of the fastest growing global brands, and are in an enviable position of being a leader in many of its product sectors, as well as maintaining a strong brand presence.

Whitegoods is a category of strategic growth this year, and requires experienced whitegoods  specialists in National Account Management and Product Management.

National Account Managers (Sydney based)

In this role, you will manage the ongoing sales relationship at the most senior level/buying group level, with major retailers. You will be responsible for budget and forecast planning, and developing the national distribution and promotional strategy. You will have the support of product managers, and ‘shop floor’ level sales managers to assist in the execution of your strategy. You will service your account on an ongoing basis – you will maintain an appropriate call cycle, and meet regularly with key decision makers and stakeholders. All sales orders will also be made via this individual.
Having a well honed sales career you will have proven account management and business development skills, to enable you to guide channel growth activity and co-ordinate distribution.

Product Managers

Your mandate will be to contribute to the delivery of sales and gross margin targets within the respective business, by identifying new business opportunities and preparing product marketing plans with specific inputs relating to price, product, promotional and advertising, distribution strategies, point of sale support and service requirements. You will manage and implement product launches, ensuring they are timely and to budget.

As the expert, it is your responsibility to be abreast of market intelligence – such as trends, developments, opportunities and competitor activities. You will be the product specialist for internal and external customers, and ensure sales and channel training occurs.

Prior experience in product management with a vendor, within the respective product category, is a prerequisite. Of utmost importance is a technical understanding of the product, the distribution channels, consumer insights, and POS activities.

Samsung has a preference for a candidate with tertiary qualifications, and experience in the whitegoods category is essential. Samsung recognises and rewards good performance, solid career opportunities available for a high achiever.
